Thank you for your decision to make a donation to As Good as Gold.
The reality is rescuing goldens and golden mixes takes time and money. Countless hours are spent by so many volunteers. It also takes hundreds of thousands of dollars. As Good as Gold spend over $165,000 this year on dog related expenses. This includes exams, blood tests, medications, surgery, behavioral training and much more. All of that money comes from people just like you. People who have a special place in their heart for these innocent goldens and golden mixes. We receive no government funding. We have no paid staff. We survive on donations.
Here is what your gift can do:
Your generosity will help us reach our goal of $11,000 and transform the lives of our rescued goldens!
Madden came into AGaG as a sweet little puppy but he had some challenges. His foster mom drove him back and forth to several appointments. He soon had a team of doctors working on his behalf. His vision specialist determined he had blind spots in the middle of each eye. His veterinary dentist found his underbite was blocking his ability to eat properly. His neurologist diagnosed him with mild hydrocephalus. And his orthopedic surgeon determined his hip was not fully formed, he was missing the femoral head on one leg.
As you can imagine, the bills were piling up. But that is never a problem for As Good as Gold dogs, we never turn away a dog due to the costs. This is only possible due to the generous support of our donors, people just like you reading this now. Your donation makes it possible for us to save dogs like Madden.
Is there a happy ending for Madden? You know there is! His adoptive mom is a nurse, so a great fit for him. Instead of tennis balls, he chases soccer balls. His dentist removed two teeth so now he can enjoy a good meal, like every golden does. And his fur sister Allie is a great mentor for Madden, running, playing and watching out for him every step of the way.
TOFFIE was rescued from a shelter in Turkey. At just two years old, she was already blind in one eye from a cataract. As Good as Gold stepped in to help, and her amazing foster parents taught her through love and patience how to adjust to life in a new country. Toffie can see so much better now that the cataract has been removed. Her foster home is now her forever home!
